Internet of Things
The Internet of things (IoT) is a digital network of interconnected physical machines, equipments, vehicles, computers, smart phones, tablets, smart buildings, jet engines, oil drills, wearable devices, and more items embedded with electronics, software, sensors, actuators, and network connectivity that enable these objects to talk and exchange data.
Initially Internet of things was started as M2M platform but now it stands for advanced connectivity of devices, systems, and services that goes beyond machine-to-machine (M2M) communications and covers a variety of protocols, domains, and applications.
In Internet of things, every object has a unique identification and has ability to transfer data over a network without requiring human-to-human or human-to-computer interaction.
Now a days IoT has entered into nearly every industry and almost every aspects of our common life but we hope that it’s scope in any industry and in our personal life is going to increased exponentially in very near future.
I personally expecting that nearly all our electronic equipment in our life like mobile phone, tablet, computer, television, refrigerator, microwave over, air conditioner, LED light, car and other electronic equipment will be connected and communicate with each other. Very soon billions of devices will be connected to network for real-time data exchange.
IoT has evolved from the convergence of wireless technologies like Wifi, Bluetooth, GPRS, 4G/LTE, Zigbee, Lora and many other life changing technologies realize the IoT is a common phenomenon because connectivity is backbone of this technology. The most important factor is decreasing the cost of these chips/silicon has made IoT into main stream.
Potential applications and services in the IoT include:
- Smart Devices
- Security Surveillance
- Smart Cities
- Smart Grids
- Connected Car
- Home Automation
- Energy Management
- Remote Monitoring and Industrial Process Control
We are promoting the Make in India campaign started by our Honorable Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi Sir and making IoT solution purely Make in India.
